"be my valentine" at the lynn sage cancer research foundation event! January 19, 2011 It seems like these days we have all had someone in our lives that has been effected by breast cancer. Thankfully there are many hardworking good people out there working tirelessly to find a cure, and inviting us to help in many positive, exciting and creative ways. One organization I grew up being fond of, and enjoy supporting, is the lynn sage research foundation, who is holding their 4th annual be my valentine family event this sunday, january 23 at the ritz-carlton chicago from 10am-1pm. Bring the family for great food, activities, cookie decorating, a magician, face painting, a juice bar and a live performance by grammy nominated justin roberts & the not ready for naptime players! Info & tix at www.lynnsage.org (spread the news to help! Thx all!) the lynn sage cancer research foundation (LSCRF) was started in 1985 to honor chicagoan, lynn sage, after she lost her six year battle to breast cancer at the age of 39. a group of her friends and family got together to form this foundation to become a world-class philanthropic organization internationally known for supporting state-of-the-art patient care, exceptional educational outreach programs and the kind of revolutionary research that brings us closer to a cure. in 1991, the foundation partnered up with northwestern memorial hospital and more recently with the robert h. lurie comprehensive cancer center of northwestern university. together they have built a powerful partnership that provides women with truly exceptional care. today it is the largest program of its kind in the midwest.
