Butkus Charity Fight Night

Mike Ditka, Bobby Hull, Chris Chelios, Bobby Douglass, ‘RoboCop’, Ryan Dempster, Paul Konerko, Mayor Daley, Governor Quinn, Ernie Banks, 85 Bears,.. are just some of my fav notables headed out to support Hall-of-famer Dick Butkus’ Charity Fight Night this Thursday! This spectacular event will celebrate the work of the Butkus foundation throughout the year and feature fighters from the U.S. and Canada in a golden gloves-style competition.

The Butkus Charity foundation works hard to fight the evils of steroids and other negative influences that affect youth, and is centered around its hopes to keep upcoming athletes clean & educated by giving them goals to help support lifelong health & wellness.  One of their biggest campaigns, “I Play Clean” has reached over 12,000,000 athletes in over 10,000 high schools across the country.

The event will be held at Soldier Field on October 21, 2010.  Doors open at 7p & the fight starts at 8:45p & the official after-party will be at rockit! Along with the fight, there will be a silent auction to bid on items including an NFL Football Hall of Fame autographed jacket, a Muhammad Ali autographed collage, and many more memorabilia.
