Chicago music artist Matt LeGrand is making a name for himself. he also stands as living proof that “ teamwork makes the dream work”, by bringing many different parts of the Chicago music community together for his project. His video FIRE has lyrically set the roof ablaze along with his Spring Break GRL song, both created by Matt with the help of various Chi-Town music wizards!  A DIY project centered around Matt, his producer/managers and his team of LeGrand Girls. This young team has managed to garner attention of young fans, local and international blogs and even the ASPIRE and MTV networks. MTV entered MATT LEGRAND  along with another local artist Young Nero in a contest for  international airplay called “THE FRESHMAN” asking that fans vote for the video they want to stay on the air. Both songs feature Chicago native and rap legend TWISTA. The songs were produced by local music production companies, Matt Legrand’s songs being created with HOUSE MUSIC legend VINCE LAWRENCE and his SLANG MUSIC GROUP team. Both videos were also shot by local directors with Matt’s being done with the A-LIST team of Andre Mayon and Erik White (Chris Brown, Robin Thicke, Beyonce, T-Pain, FLO-Rida) . “It is simply amazing that TWO Chicago artists were simultaneously selected to participate garnering national attention in the process.” says producer Lawrence. Matt LeGrand is also headlining Chicago’s GREEN TIE BALL, our city’s largest black tie formal on October 10, 2015.

Matt LeGrand spent his infant years in France and at the age of seven years old, his family relocated to Chicago. As he grew older he found himself exploring the wide variety of musical inspirations that the Windy City had to offer. The exploration didn’t stop there, he found himself actively learning a wide variety of instruments, from the guitar to the drums, even dabbling with songwriting; it didn’t take much for him to completely fall in love with the craft itself. But it was his experimentation with different bands and duos in college that finally inspired him to find a sound all his own.
