Fear City: a Haunted House Taking You From the Dark Side of the City to the Mind Bending Midway! September 28, 2011 It’s almost October…the crisp air of Fall is here, the leaves begin to change colors, and before you know it Halloween will be here! As soon as October 1st hits people start panicking about what they are going to dress up as and want to go to haunted house to scream at the top of their lungs in fear. Luckily, a new Halloween Experience is on its way to Chicago- Fear City! Fear City isn’t your typical haunted experience, there are 40 live characters that roam around with chilling audio, lighting, and video effects. Located at 8240 N. Austin Avenue in Morton Grove Fear City is 40,000 square feet and takes your from “the dark side of the city to the mind bending midway”. Some of the known attractions so far are: a Midway themed exhibit with a spinning fuselage, a tour of the dark side of the Windy City, and a gory meat-packing slaughterhouse. An Emmy Award winning design and highly credited team assures you that this haunted house is sure not to disappoint with its effects and costumes. Starting on October 1st, Fear City’s hours will be Sunday-Thursday 7pm to 11pm and Friday-Saturday 7pm-12am.
