February Free Days at Art Institute Chicago

Founded in 1879 and built on rubble and debris from the Chicago Fire, the art institute now proudly contains over five thousand years of human expression from cultures all around the world. Further impressive are the school’s graduates who are consistently ranked as some of the best in the country.

The Art Institute makes it easy for anyone to come and relish in the vast collections and displays of all genre-spanning art and now that it’s February, they have made it even easier with February Free Days for the entire month! Free admission all day, every day allows you to explore the Modern Wing, take in a new exhibition and enjoy the wealth of fascinating programming.

A couple special (and free of course) events and programs for the month of February include; Family Festival on the 20th : a day of exploration, art making, storytelling and performances for the whole family : 500 Ways of Looking at Modern : Valentine’s Day Brunch at their Terzo Piano : and 45-60 minute Gallery Talks daily at noon. And don’t forget what is always free at the Art Institue – Children under 14, Target Free Thursday Evenings, Admission to the Ryan Center and Members enjoy free admission and benfits. Enjoy!
