Greenheart International’s 3rd Annual Fundraiser celebrating “30 Years of Creating Global Leaders”

As one of the largest nonprofit organizations in Chicago, Greenheart International is making a big impact in the local community as well as around the globe. True to our name, Greenheart envisions a more sustainable and peaceful future for humanity. We connect people and planet to create global leaders through personal development, volunteer service, environmentalism, fair trade, and cultural exchange. For three decades, we’ve helped change the lives of over 100,000 cultural exchange participants, volunteers, conscious consumers, at-risk youth, and fair trade artisans.

Our most recent initiative supports Chicago area youth. The inaugural Camp Greenheart in 2014 was a tremendous success for our organization. This past summer, 27 opportunity youth from the South and West sides of Chicago were offered full scholarships to attend a week of summer camp in rural Wisconsin, where they had the opportunity to grow in their social, environmental, and leadership skills. Greenheart International exchange participants served as camp leaders, sharing their cultures and customs with campers, providing both leaders and campers with a unique perspective into life around the world.

Outside of Chicago, we are working to impact positive change on a global level. Since 1985, CCI Greenheart has offered cultural exchange programs in the U.S. connecting Americans with international students. As the leading nonprofit cultural exchange sponsor, we combine learning and volunteerism to effectively create a community of compassionate and conscious global citizens.

The Global Leaders conference brings together CCI Greenheart exchange participants from around the world who are leaders within their universities and American communities to participate in workshops and activities that discuss personal, professional and leadership development. In 2015 Greenheart will offer 24 scholarships for Work and Travel participants to attend this life-changing event in our nation’s capital.

Join us for Greenheart International’s 3rd Annual Fundraiser and celebrate “30 Years of Creating Global Leaders” as we host 250 guests at The Palmer House for an evening of live entertainment, dining, and auctions! The celebration will be hosted by Executive Producer and Host of NBC’s 24/7 City Secrets, Catie Keogh, at The Palmer House Empire Ballroom on Tuesday April 14, 2015 from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. Proceeds from the live and silent auction will go directly toward scholarships for Camp Greenheart Participants and Global Leadership Conference participants.
