Chicago’s Marillac St. Vincent Family Services Raise Money for a Great Cause through House of Cards April 10, 2013 Hi Chicago! My name is Megan McSherry, and I am a member of the Marillac St. Vincent Family Services Associate Board. I want to share an event we have coming up in a few weeks to raise money for a great cause—but first let me tell you a little bit about who Marillac St. Vincent Family Services is. The center was founded in 1915 by members of the order of the Daughters of Charity, and has since been working to carry out the mission of empowering and strengthening those most in need to reach their greatest potential. In order to help the center in providing support for the low-income families, their children, the homeless and at-risk seniors of over 50 Chicago neighborhoods and the Marillac St. Vincent Family Services Associate Board puts on a number of events and fundraisers each year. Learn more about the St. Vincent de Paul Center here and the Marillac House here. This upcoming Saturday, April 20th, we will be hosting our third annual House of Cards event: a casino-themed fundraiser that will include games like Poker and Blackjack, a buffet of drinks and refreshments and a silent auction, with all the proceeds going to the center. The event will be held at the Floating World Gallery in Chicago—a great atmosphere for a night like this! For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit House Of Cards. Additionally, follow us on Twitter and Facebook for more updates, news and events. We hope to see you there! –Megan McSherry Leave a Reply Cancel ReplyYour email address will not be published.CommentName* Email* Website Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
