Jeff-Nominated Ring of Fire Actress Cory Goodrich is a W.O.M.A.N. Who has Paid The Price

Hi! I’m Cory Goodrich and I play June Carter Cash in the Mercury Theater’s smash hit Ring of Fire, but I’m also a singer/songwriter with a story to tell. It’s a story about being a mother and a wife and a daughter; of learning to love yourself and finding and losing love. I tell this story on my debut CD, W.O.M.A.N.

When you’re an actress, producers and directors feel they can tell you when you’re too fat, too skinny, too old. And after years of horrible self-doubt, I decided to do something about it. I recorded my own songs with a message to all of you women, girls, and men too who ever feel…less than. I want to tell you that you are enough just as you are. This jump into country and folk music all began with the production of Ring of Fire. Not only did these talented musicians join me in making the CD, but brilliant musical director Malcom Ruhl produced it as well. The CD is also a launching point for my website, www.gobeautiful.net. It’s a place to come for inspiration, for music and for reassurance that you indeed are beautiful, just as you are.
