Meatheads Debuts “The Bickell Dog” In Support of The Bryan and Amanda Bickell Foundation

Meatheads is going to the dogs!

Starting March 6th until May 3rd, Meatheads will have a new hot dog on their menu at all its locations, “The Bickell Dog”, created in honor of Chicago Blackhawks Left Winger Bryan Bickell and his wife Amanda and their charity, The Bryan and Amanda Bickell Foundation. The footlong Vienna Beef hot dog is topped with chili and Fritos and served on a cheddar cheese New England-style bun. Yum!

Meatheads will donate 10 percent of the hot dog sale price ($5.00), to The Bryan and Amanda Bickell Foundation. The foundation was founded in 2012 with the mission to create awareness for the compassionate, loyal and misunderstood dogs labeled “pit bulls” and working with them to assist abused children. The foundation works to educate the public about these misunderstood dogs and helps find them safe and loving families to adopt them, while also working with the Bullies Against Bullying program, which teaches children who are victims of abuse and bullying about compassion and kindness.

To kick off the “Bickell Dog” promotion, Bryan Bickell will be visiting Meatheads in Roscoe Village (3304 N. Western Ave., Chicago, IL 60618) on Saturday, March 7th from 3:30 – 5 p.m. for a meet-and-greet with fans and supporters of his foundation. Guests can line up outside of the restaurant at 2 p.m. Bryan will sign autographs and take photos. Some of Bick’s adoptable pit bulls, “Bick’s Pits” will also be on-site for all to meet. Cost is $5 for kids 10 and under and $10 for adults. This includes a voucher for a free Bickell Dog! Space is limited and is first come, first serve. All proceeds from the event will benefit The Bryan and Amanda Bickell Foundation.

Don’t worry if you can’t make it out to Meatheads in Roscoe Village. Throughout the Bickell Dog promotion, Meatheads will be giving away items signed by the popular Blackhawks player. Every time you buy a Bickell Dog at Meatheads you’ll have a chance to win a hockey item signed by Bryan! Winners will receive a Gold Sticker on their tray if they won. 10 winners will be randomly selected throughout the 10 weeks campaign.
