» North by North to perform at Dog Dayz of Summer

Chicago’s North by North, who has appeared in The RedEye’s “Top 15 Bands to Watch” and on WGN and WXRT radio, performs at the first Dog Dayz of Summer at the Goose Island Barrel Warehouse in Humboldt Park this Saturday, June 27th. Sponsored by Criterion Productions, the fest will feature sausages from the “Sausage King” himself, Dog Sohn, plus beer selections from Goose Island. Ticket price includes food and beer tickets, along with several live music performances during each session.

North by North recently released two singles from their forthcoming second LP, available HERE. Fronted by lead vocalist/guitarist Nate Girard and keyboardist Kendra Blank, North by North has been likened to Queens of the Stone Age, Cold War Kids, and Wolfmother. The trio promises frantic guitar, haunting keys, and bombastic drums, and neither their live set nor their studio recordings disappoint. See them live this weekend in the middle of a short Midwest tour, the band’s second this year.
