Raise a Glass to Support Inner-City Female Students with Local Non-Profit, My Favorite Outfit June 1, 2015 Raise a Glass to Support Inner-City Female Students with Local Non-Profit My Favorite Outfit By Jacqueline Perlman, Founder Can you image the joy of a 14 year-old girl shopping in a trendy boutique for the first time using only her own self-confidence as currency? My Favorite Outfit, NFP makes this possible by creating pop-up boutiques in inner-city Chicago schools to reward female students for their academic achievements. In fact, in less than one year, My Favorite Outfit has already supported three schools, outfitted 39 girls in need and received $10,000 worth of donated clothing from giving community members throughout the Chicagoland area. Ultimately, the goal is help these students stay on the path to graduate from high school, and you can help get them there by partying for a cause! On Saturday, June 6 from 7-10 p.m., My Favorite Outfit is teaming up with Live Life Chicago to throw the party of the year. The “Sunset Over the City” must-attend event at the Kensington Rooftop Garden and Lounge will be the perfect way for locals to welcome Chicago’s warmer evenings and stunning scene. For $65, guests will enjoy three hours of open bar, decadent dessert tables and a special toast at sunset. All proceeds will be donated to My Favorite Outfit*.
