StreetWise: 20th Anniversary Gala at Soldier Field

For two years, I have been involved with a great organization called StreetWise.  After all this time working with them, I have begun to view it as an extension of my family.  For those of you who don’t know, StreetWise is one of the largest homeless street magazines in the world and has been serving those in need for 20 years.

StreetWise will be hosting their annual Gala this year at Soldier Field on Thursday, September 26^th.  It’s a great evening full of dinner, auctions, and music with over 400 guests!

The Gala also helps StreetWise celebrate their 20^th anniversary.  Over the past 20 years, they have grown significantly from just magazines to a blossoming organic fruit and vegetable cart service.  All the vendors were on the verge of homelessness (or had been at one time) and are now doing very well.  Currently, StreetWise has 30 carts around the city, and are looking to expand to over 100 carts in the next 12 months!

StreetWise has helped empower more than 10,000 Chicago-area men and women since it first began.  The Gala will only help more!

The Gala will feature live music from Paris Swing, a live auction (which includes P!NK & Beyonce tickets or a dinner with Ed Swiderski from ABC’s The Bachelorette), as well as dinner and awards ceremony honoring service leaders in Chicago.
