Greetings, Chicago! Summer is alive and radiating in our city! I’m Rich Klevgard, the singer songwriter for These Peaches, and I’ve been in Chicago since before Wicker Park exploded!
We all know Chicago is the home to the greatest sports fans, hotdogs, and deep dish pizza. But, many people do not realize it is also the birthplace of the Special Olympics movement, changing the lives of individuals with disabilities for over 45 years. Today, the Chicago area chapter of Special Olympics is one of the largest in the world and serves over 5,000 athletes.
Ladies, go out! Wind, sleet, and snow cannot keep a great Chicago Woman at home. That is, if there is something worth seeing or doing that outweighs the warmth of a fire and perfect glass of red wine. That's where I come in!
Hello Chicago! I’m Vanessa Casciano, Community Relations Director for Magellan Development Group LLC, and I want to welcome you all to Chicago’s newest community, Lakeshore East! Lakeshore East, the New East Side’s hottest urban development is located east of Columbus and Randolph – where the Chicago River meets Lake Michigan.
Enjoy appetizers, an open bar, networking, music, raffles, and other fun, along the dazzling Chicago River. We will have open seating on the patio on the Chicago River Walk and inside seating as well. Is there a better way to celebrate hump day?
Hey it’s Syd! It’s so cool that I get to write about Syd Rocks and our upcoming awesome beach event.
I was lucky enough to meet Billy Dec when I was 12 years old. He was hosting a charity event for Make A Wish and I was there since I was a “wish” child. This means that I had a life threatening illness and Make a Wish granted me a wish to help me get through the tough medical things I was going through at the time. I will never forget how much Make A Wish did for me and how much I appreciate Billy’s generosity and support for that organization.
I don’t know about you, but I love me some vino, but don’t love how expensive it is to get over to that west coast. Let’s just imagine an ideal situation that involved, oh let’s say, about 65 wineries flying into Chicago and letting this Windy City taste what that entire coast has to offer! Ding, Ding, Ding… our wish has been granted!
Mark your calendars and check the temperature for the upcoming 11th annual Lakeview Polar Plunge! You may think it’s crazy taking a diving into the lake at Oak Street Beach at the end of January, but it’s to help two families in need and other people will be doing it too! Participants should arrive at the beach by 11am because at Noon you will be running towards the water for you’re plunge!
