To celebrate & join all things sexy in Chicago, the lingerie co Victoria’s Secret is opening a brand-new flagship store on Michigan Avenue (and Superior). 

I got a chance to take a sneak peak and it is insane! There’s an exclusive VIP opening this Wednesday from 6:30pm-8:30pm hosted by Victoria’s Secret Angel Marisa Miller and hearing Orlando Bloom’s girlfriend Miranda Kerr and Doutzen Kroes will be in attendance as well (who i think i am having dinner with after the show at sunda?). 

What do you think makes Chicago a sexy city?  Victoria’s Secret wants to know and is conducting an online vote at vschicago.com.  I just found out that The Underground is nominated for sexiest club and Sunda is nominated for sexiest restaurant…thanks all!  Can’t wait to see who wins all the other crazy categories you will see… so fun!

FLAGSHIP STORE OPENS ON OCTOBER 22 WITH SPECIAL AUTOGRAPH SIGNING BY MARISA MILLER AND AN OPEN CALL TO FIND THE NEXT RUNWAY ANGEL

CHICAGO, IL – Victoria’s Secret announces the October 22nd, 2009 opening of a brand-new flagship store in the heart of Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, offering an unparalleled shopping experience in an atmosphere of pure indulgence. Located at 734 N. Michigan Avenue, this new Victoria’s Secret store will be one of Chicago’s premiere shopping destinations. This store’s design is classic Victoria’s Secret: sexy, sophisticated and glamorous. The façade takes a modern approach with a dynamic pink glass storefront. Customers enter the store through a sprawling foyer that soars to the ceiling of this expansive two-story flagship.  

The contemporary interior takes cues from residential design in both feel and scale. The front room is glamorous, dark and dramatic and features a sexy Victoria’s Secret Supermodel gallery, while the back room transforms into young, sexy, bright-white interiors with playful shocking-pink moments. The second floor houses the PINK collection in an expansive 5,000-square-foot space sheltered by an attic-like, open-rafter ceiling with rough-hewn beams. Iconic brand elements like the PINK dog, polka dots and PINK collegiate iconography add visual detail. 

This store will feature an elevated assortment of our classic bras, panties and sleepwear, as well as PINK, swim and beauty items. Bras and panties will be organized by style in our Bra Salon and Panty Boutique, revolutionizing the way women shop for intimates. The brand’s full range of private-label lingerie collections, which include Very Sexy, Angels, Body By Victoria, Sexy Little Things and BioFit, will all be available. More elevated sleepwear and lingerie will live in their luxurious Glamour Room. The Michigan Avenue location will not only feature the largest assortment of Swim merchandise in Chicago but is also the only store in Illinois to carry the Victoria’s Secret Swim collection year-round. 

The store also will feature VIP fit rooms with individual bra wardrobe centers designed to give customers a highly customized fitting service and introduce her to different bra styles that meet her needs. Another store highlight is an innovative Body Match Scanner that utilizes white light technology to capture advanced body images determining a customer’s breast shape, size and band in order to provide her with the perfect bra fit. In addition, to ensure that every customer’s needs are met, two Find-it Kiosks are located within the store and link to Victoria’s Secret online so she can find anything else she needs.

In conjunction with the store opening, Victoria’s Secret will turn the Magnificent Mile into the sexiest mile with displays of Angel wings from past Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows.  Look for wings once worn by Victoria’s Secret Angels such as Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio.  

Shoppers should also be on the look for the Secret Rewards being handed out along Michigan Avenue and a chance to win $10, $50, $100 or $500 off any purchase at the new Michigan Avenue Flagship store located at 734 North Michigan Avenue between October 22 – October 25. One grand-prize winner will receive two tickets to the 2009 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show – the hottest ticket in town.
