Enjoy drinks, food and music inside one of the world’s largest science museums, after it closes to the public! The Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago, is hosting its first-ever adults-only event on Saturday, July 16, and everyone is encouraged to tap into their inner LEGO® builder.
MSI and WBEZ Chicago have partnered up to throw the ultimate grown-up kids’ soiree, filled with LEGO-themed festivities. MSI After Hours: Brick Bash will feature build-your-own sliders as well DIY cocktails with the help from an experienced mixologist. Guests can also sample craft beer from BrickStone Brewery, based in Bourbonnais. Admission includes free on-site parking, snacks, a complimentary cocktail, and exclusive access to MSI’s temporary exhibit Brick by Brick and other popular Museum exhibits.
Brick by Brick features 13 spectacular LEGO-built structures, including a 60-foot-long Golden Gate Bridge, the International Space Station, St. Louis Gateway Arch, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater, the Roman Colosseum, and many more. MSI After Hours: Brick Bash guests will also be able to listen in to a live taping of the “General Admission” WBEZ podcast featuring the creator behind these brick marvels, LEGO® Certified Professional and Chicago native Adam Reed Tucker.
Tickets cost $30 and are available online. A cash bar will also be available.
