Did you know that last year, more than 6,000 veterans were helped by Catholic Charities programs? This year Catholic Charities hopes to help even more veterans with the “Veteran’s In Need Dinner.”

This Friday, Catholic Charities is hosting the 3rd Annual Veteran’s In Need Dinner to support our nation’s veterans.

Veterans in NeedSince 1917 Catholic Charities has been making the needs of veteran’s a top priority. The event raises funds for Catholic Charities to continue providing services to help our countries veterans including housing, substance abuse recovering and job placement throughout Cook and Lake Counties
The dinner is being hosted by CBS 2 News Anchor Rob Johnson with Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Michael G. Mullen as the keynote speaker.

It will be an honor to have Admiral Mullen speak at this very important event to assist veterans in need. Admiral Mullen knows firsthand how we must help our Veterans through these very challenging times,” said Monsignor Michael M. Boland, President, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Entertainment during dinner includes the Ken Arlen Jazz Quartess, as well as a presentation of Colors by the Color Guard from the Lincoln Park High School Junior ROTC Cadets. There also will be a raffle with prizes that include once in a lifetime trips to Washington, D.C. with a private tour of the Pentagon and a VIP guided tour of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.

The event will be held at the Union League Club of Chicago, located at 65 West Jackson Boulevard, Chicago (5th & 6th floors). Tickets are $200 for an individual ticket, and $2,000 for a table of 10.
