Chicago Waldorf School presents The 2014 Holiday Fair

Hey guys, Sam here! I’m back to tell you about one of the most anticipated holiday events of the year…

It is that time of year Chicago! Can you believe 2014 is almost over and Christmas is just around the corner? The holidays are filled with fun events and activities to do to enjoy this time of year. If you don’t have any plans or ideas on what to do, here is a great fair for you and your family to be apart of.

You are cordially invited to the Chicago Waldorf Schools Holiday Fair. This event is located at the Chicago Waldorf School at 1300 W. Loyola Ave, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Chicago Waldorf School is an urban, independent school offering a comprehensive and creative approach established by philosopher Rudolf Steiner. It is the perfect event to get you and your family in the holiday spirit. The “All Star Dads Band,” who performs holiday classics and children’s sing-a-longs, will set the mood and get you in the holiday spirit along side the Waldorf Students who will also be contributing some great music as well. This event will be filled with different fun, giving, activities that will get you even more hyped for Christmas.

Waldorf has a tradition where they celebrate the value of “handwork,”  where you can hand make different gifts and crafts for children and adults. Aside from making great gifts, you can shop the Artisanal Vendors Bazaar, which is a set of local vendors that sell their handmade goods. There will also be gently used toys, dolls, clothes and house hold goods for sale.

Lastly, what is a party without food? There will be assortments of foods, from nutritious foods to handmade tamales, empanadas and so much more delightfulness. The tickets for this event are only $5 for adults and children are free. Come and join the Chicago Waldorf School in celebrating the holidays and spreading the holiday cheer. You will not want to miss this!
