Get Served… By Chicago Celebartenders! Baderbrau and Common Threads host Brews with Benefits March 19, 2014 Hi! It’s Atorina Z. from Billy Dec‘s office bringing you another Chicago event I’d like you to check out! I’m a firm believer that good health and happiness naturally beget each other! On March 25th that’s exactly what Baderbrau, Chicago’s original craft beer, and Common Threads intend to do. They are inviting us to come together, at the Brews with Benefit charity event, to support their healthy cause and celebrate. Proceeds of this event are going to benefit the Chicago Common Threads programs. Common Threads is a national nonprofit organization that is committed to empowering and educating underserved communities about healthy food choices through hands-on experiences—a brilliant and fun cause to engage adults and kids with fundamental cooking skills and nutritional education. Since children are great imitators, why not give them something great to imitate! Speaking of imitators, Farmhouse bartenders are going to step aside and Chicago area “Celebartenders” are going to work the evening, from 5:30pm-7:30pm. The exciting list of Chicago “Celebartenders” includes: Catherine De’Orio (Host of Check, Please!), Rick Gresh (Executive Chef at David Burke’s Primehouse), Craig Hiljus (Bar Manager, JIMMY Chicago), Jay Michael (Founder, FLATS CHICAGO, and cast member of Bravo’s 100 Days of Summer), and Amanda Puck (EVP XAPR & Founder of thefoodarazzi.com). While exploring this event, I was fascinated to learn about the Baderbrau story and the revival of Chicago’s landmark “first craft beer.” I encourage you to take 5 minutes and watch this documentary. Rob Sama’s passion is captivating! Loved learning how he brought back Baderbrau Chicago Pilsener to prominence. So, join me and let’s celebrate this occasion over a Baderbrau and some delicious Farmhouse bites on Tuesday, March 25th. Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased here. Cheers! Must be 21 and over to attend.
