Guaranteed Mad Fun: The Madhatter’s Fun House on June 14

Each year, Lookingglass Theatre’s Junior Board hosts one of Chicago’s most unique fundraisers – The Madhatter’s Ball. With a new theme, location and seemingly more outrageous than the Balls of years’ past, the shin-dig was even named one of Chicago’s hottest parties by The Huffington Post. If you’ve never heard of The Madhatter’s Ball, it is a high-energy, themed celebration that brings together Chicago’s young professionals, dressed to the nines (donning hats of course) … all for a great cause! As proud members of the Junior Board and the official co-chairs for this year’s event, we’re beyond excited for the #MadFun we have in store this year!

Please step right up and join us on Saturday, June 14 at “The Madhatter’s Fun House” at Block Thirty Seven. Guests will join in the “Mad Fun” for a delightful evening including a cavalcade of quirky, high-energy performances. The event will feature a carnival of specialty cocktails, gourmet bites and delectably sweet treats, live entertainment, DJs, dancing, silent auction and raffle featuring once-in-a-lifetime prizes. Proceeds will support the operation and expansion of Lookingglass’ acclaimed education and community programs, which encourage self-esteem and creativity in thousands of students in over 40 CPS schools every year.

Our hosts for the evening will be Lookingglass Artistic Associates Lindsey Noel Whiting and Kareem Bandealy. We will rock the night away to the expert disc jockeying skills of DJ Lani Love, DJ Brock Manke, and DJ D2A. Guests will nosh on gourmet bites from your favorite restaurants, including BlackFinn Ameripub, Gino’s East, Sunda, Taco Joint and Zed451. A bounty of beverages from Evian, Angostura Bitters, COLDCOCK Whiskey, Crown Imports, Vita Coco Water, New Holland Brewery, Southern Wine & Spirits, Argo Tea, Mike’s Hard Lemonade and Coca-Cola will be flowing.

Attire is “chic carnival cocktail.” Costumes are optional, but hats are recommended. All attendees must be 21 years of age or older. Tickets start at $100 and can be purchased at lookingglasstheatre.org/events or by calling 312-337-0665. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door.
