Legendary Blues Musicians Share the Stage with a Great Cause at the Shed: A Musician’s Club Second Annual ShedFest 2013 Benefiting Rebecca’s Dream July 15, 2013 Hey head-thumpers and fist-pumpers! This is Taryn from Ripple Public Relations, and I have the scoop on ShedFest, an inspiring musical event coming up in honor of Rebecca’s Dream, an admirable organization dedicated to compassionate understanding for individuals struggling with depression and bipolar disorder. North Shore private musician’s club, The Shed, on 1480 Old Deerfield Road in Highland Park, will honor Rebecca’s Dream with a focus on “washing the blues away” with its second annual ShedFest. On July 19th and 20th, ShedFest will spoil music lovers with 17 hours of live music entertainment (Friday 5-11 pm, Saturday 12-11pm) and a variety of food and drink. ShedFest is the largest outdoor music festival to hit Chicago’s northern suburbs, showcasing spanking musical acts including Eddy “The Chief” Clearwater, Chicago Blues Reunion, Big Bill Morganfield, Dick Holliday & The Bamboo Gang and local favorites, such as The Bad Examples. Tickets are an easy $15 for Friday, $25 for Saturday, or $35 for both days. All proceeds will benefit Rebecca’s Dream. Advanced ticket sales are available at www.ShedFest2013.eventbrite.com, or at the door. There will be plenty of free parking. Fall into the musically inclined masses at ShedFest’s second annual outdoor music festival to celebrate community and music with a cause that understands, “A chemical imbalance is something one has, not who one is.” For information on more exciting, upcoming events, check out The Shed’s Facebook & Twitter pages. Let’s bond with Rebecca’s Dream to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues, and revel in the blues sound that heartens and revives us. Thanks!
