Local Production Company Folded Rose Filming New Movie in Chicago, Support Via Kickstarter July 10, 2013 You Don’t Have to go to LA to Find Filmmaking Talent There is such a wealth of filmmaking and acting talent right here in Chicago. I have paired up with my producing partner Scott K. Foley to put all that talent to work. This summer in Chicago we will be making the feature film Jessica. Jessica, a coming-of age story about a not-so-recent college grad struggling to figure out what she wants to do with her life, all the while fighting to resist the changes happening around her no matter how inevitable they might be. We have all felt that moment of being lost and having no idea what direction to go in. The film will showcase a complex, complicated, messy female character that we often don’t see on screen. Maya Boudreau will be playing the lead role of Jessica. The whole cast will be made up of Chicago actors through our casting directors at Paskal Rudnicke Casting. The cast will also feature Chicago’s very own Billy Dec in a key-supporting role. The film is set to start shooting at the end of August. But before that can happen we are trying to raise the last bit of the budget via the all or nothing crowd-funding site (Kickstarter). Our goal is $25,000 with a deadline of July 18th at 7PM. If we fail to reach our goal no one is charged and we get $0. We’re almost over $15,000 with 252 people backing this project.
