Lurie Children’s Hospital Valentine Program February 12, 2016 For many children, Valentine’s Day means celebrating at school with fun festivities and exchanging thoughtfully-selected valentines with friends and family. However, the patients of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago will spend the day in their hospital room. While they may not have the chance to celebrate at home, you can help make sure this Valentine’s Day is extra special for the kids Lurie Children’s! Help brighten the day by sending a free valentine and personalized message to a child in the hospital. The goal is to collect 10,000 valentines to show patients just how many people are thinking of them this Valentine’s Day. With your help, we can reach and exceed this goal! Just follow these simple steps: Visit org/valentine. Select a valentine and add a message of hope and encouragement. Spread the word about the valentine program by selecting to share a post on Facebook or Twitter once you’ve submitted your valentine. On Valentine’s Day, the cards will be hand-delivered to patients at the main Lurie Children’s facility as well as outpatient locations around the Chicago area – a small gesture that means the world to the patients and families of Lurie Children’s.
